EquallyAble is excited to announce that Mohammed Yousuf, our Founder and President, has been awarded the 2018 Henry Viscardi Achievement Award

First bestowed in 2013, the awards honor exemplary leaders in the disability community who, through the example of their professional accomplishments andadvocacy efforts, are reshaping societal perceptions and making significant changes in the quality of life of people with disabilities.

The nominating committee, led by former Senator Bob Dole, considered nominations from cities throughout the U.S. and countries around the world.  This year’s ten winners are an accomplished and diverse group representing Israel, Malawi, Pakistan, Switzerland, the United States, and Zimbabwe.  Recipients come from a variety of distinguished backgrounds, including academia, entertainment, government, technology, and the nonprofit sectors.

“I am deeply grateful to the Viscardi Center for this honor, and to my family, friends, and EquallyAble supporters who make my work possible,” said Mohammed.  “Together, we are empowering thousands of people with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives with honor, dignity, and independence.”

You, our supporters, share in this prestigious recognition of Mohammed’s work.  It is only through your generous donations that the work is possible – thank you.
